Building docks in Citrus County requires not only dock building expertise and experience but also specialized equipment. Sometimes we'll run into a soft muddy bottom which requires pilings to be hammered in, other times we'll hit rock which requires piling holes to be drilled through the rock. We operate custom made drill rigs and pneumatic hammers specially designed for us to build docks in these conditions.
We source all of our materials from Triton Lumber, a specialty marine lumber supplier. Not all lumber is the same and a high quality dock requires the highest grade of marine lumber. We frame our docks using #1 Dense lumber pressure treated with CCA to a depth of .60 and our pilings are also treated with CCA to a depth of 2.5. This is the strongest lumber available and the highest degree of pressure treatment on the market. We'll install your choice of decking be it composite Weardeck or pressure treated lumber fastened with stainless steel to withstand the ravages of salt water. These materials are why you'll find docks we built 18 years ago still in use today. You only want to build a dock once and our materials and workmanship will make sure that's the case.
